TGI to Promote New Cosmo TBR Range
After a challenging 2009, as it was for most all of the industry, this year US-based wholesale tyre distribution operation, Tire Group International, Inc (TGI) is reportedly increased year-on-year sales and plans to market its new Cosmo brand truck and bus radial range at the Reifen show.
“2009 was a tough year in the industry. We faced many challenges, from the global shortage of supply, financial crisis, and new duties on Chinese imports to the US. At TGI we are proud to say that through this maelstrom, we continued to grow stronger. The company grew 6.5 per cent from 2008 to 2009, which is quite an accomplishment with the aforementioned challenges,” chief operating officer Joaquin Gonzalez Jr. told Tyres & Accessories.
It is clear that, following the new lines launch in early March 2010, the Cosmo TBR range will figure heavily in the businesses’ plans for the remainder of the year. The Cosmo portfolio centres on a range of more than 350 sizes in the Light Truck, Truck, Industrial, Agricultural and OTR segments. However, the latest edition adds 11R22.5-16PR HWY, LUG & Semi-LUG; 11R24.5-16PR HWY & LUG; 12R22.5-16PR HWY & LUG; 295/80R22.5-18PR HWY & LUG sizes to the offering.
Tire Group International, Inc. specializes in the trade of tyres and tubes on a worldwide basis, conducting business in over 70 countries. Headquartered in Miami, Florida, it has offices in Dominican Republic, Panama, Venezuela, Nicaragua, Chile and China. In addition to Cosmo, TGI also distributes other private labels – Astro, Luna and Jaguar; and exclusively represents brands including MRF, Cooper, Sumitomo, Giti and Mickey Thompson.
