Techking to Launch UHP Range

Techking reports an upcoming UHP addition to its Effiplus range of passenger car tyres. Called ‘Himmer II’, the new tyre will employ a full silica compound in order to deliver lower rolling resistance. Techking states the Himmer II’s asymmetrical tread pattern improves wet and dry grip, while the tyre’s shoulder area tread is designed in a way that controls the circulation of air between the tread blocks, thereby reducing noise.

A feature of the Himmer II that Techking is especially proud of is the “phoenix” sidewall design, which the manufacturer says “infuses art and life elements to the ‘black ring’.” The tyre maker comments that this particular bird was chosen as a decorative motif as the phoenix exists in both Western and Chinese mythology, and is seen by some as being a symbol of beauty, talent and luck.

Initially the Himmer II range will be available in sizes 205/55R16, 215/55R16, 205/45R17, 215/45R17, 215/35R18, 225/40R18, 235/40R18, 235/35R19, 245/35R19 and 255/35R19, and W to Y speed ratings.
