Rubberking Anticipates Increased African Presence
Rubberking Tyres India reports a successful 2010 show: "Tyrexpo Africa has always been a good platform for us to establish and promote our tyre brand and product range to the African market,” stated Dipti Jambhekar, Rubberking’s senior executive of international sales. “Though the number of visitors appeared to be less than normal, we were able to generate some serious quality inquiries, revive our relations with old customers and network with our existing ones.
“Many visitors from the show have showed interest in our new products and we expect to gradually increase our presence in all the major countries of the African continent during the next few years,” Jambhekar continued. “We participate in four to five trade fairs around the globe every year. Rubberking is always looking to build partnerships throughout the world with exclusive distributors providing the ultimate in customer satisfaction.”
When speaking with Tyres & Accessories at the Johannesburg based exhibition, Mr. Jambhekar pointed out that Rubberking Tyres is the first Indian tube manufacturing company to receive ISO/TS 16949:2002 and ISO: 9001/2000 certification “Rubberking is a well accepted brand internationally due largely to its outstanding quality and exceptional after sales service,” he noted. “Our company is a leading supplier of inner tubes and flaps to numerous tyre companies like Apollo, Ceat, Birla and Goodyear as well as supplying main distributors in more than 55 countries. Hence events like Tyrexpo Africa are extremely important for us and help us to maintain our brand image in the tyre market.”
On display at the Indian company’s stand at Tyrexpo Africa were examples of an ever growing product portfolio, the detail of which Dipti Jambhekar highlighted: “Over the past twelve months we have expanded our product range with new truck and bus tyre sizes and patterns, which are produced by our manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka and Thailand. A new product line saw the introduction of RB Batteries, a special range of dry charged batteries. Development of our Tireking brand has also taken place, further enhancing our extensive range of tyres for agricultural, industrial and light commercial vehicles.”
In addition to these newly introduced products, the company has furthered its international network during the past year. “Rubberking has recognised its marketing potential in the USA by the opening of liaison office in Miami and we have also upgraded our office in the UAE to enable it to cover the whole of the Middle East and Africa,” explained Jambhekar.
