Goodyear Dunlop Signs TM Logistics Tyre Contract
Following a reported nine-month trial at one of its depots, Midlands supply chain specialist TM Logistics has signed up to the new Goodyear Dunlop Fleet Online Solutions (FoS) package for three years at 16 locations. The service provision will be managed by Truckforce, Goodyear Dunlop’s dedicated truck service. TM Logistics’ annual spend on tyres exceeds £300,000 across 150 vehicles and 250 trailers. The company states that the service was previously contracted through ATS and Michelin.
FoS is a Goodyear Dunlop specific tyre fleet management system, designed for fleet operators and driven by an online database, which allows clear visibility of all jobs. It allows the fleet operator to access set pricing, thus reducing invoice queries “considerably”, says Goodyear Dunlop. A further enhancement of the FoS system is the introduction of FoS Mobile, a hand held solution to manage fleet checking and all round tyre maintenance. As the system is web based it provides up to the minute control from all sites and allows the fleet operator complete on line visibility of all things tyre related.
Adam Purshall, head of Fleet for TM Logistics said: “During the trial we were amazed by the difference in service. As we were previous users of Goodyear and Dunlop tyres we were happy with the quality of the product but it was the provision of the FoS system that made it a real winner for us.”
“The Goodyear Dunlop network mapped our sights very well and provided vast improvements in our tyre husbandry. We operate major contracts with leading UK businesses including Rexam, Crown Food and Kingspan and so we cannot afford to have vehicle downtime due to poor tyre maintenance. The FoS system delivers everything we need to have clear, transparent and fast maintenance for our fleet.
“Not only was the system easy to integrate into our business but Goodyear Dunlop also provided all managers using the system with a rigorous training programme to ensure that we utilise the system to its full capability,” concluded Purshall.
Marc Preedy, Customer Strategy manager for Goodyear Dunlop said: “TM Logistics is yet another fleet win for Goodyear Dunlop. For us this story really proves that our products and services allow us to stay ahead of the competition. A three year contract shows commitment to our offering and we are delighted to have won the business.”
