Van den Ban Bringing Extended Private Ranges to Reifen 2010
The Reifen 2010 show in Essen, Germany is only three months’ away, and Netherland based wholesaler Van den Ban Autobanden B.V. has announced it will display numerous new products at its 120 square metre two-storey exhibition space (stand 118, hall 2). Amongst the additions to the Van den Ban portfolio to be highlighted at the exhibition are the latest sizes in its Novex and Blackstone private brands.
Van den Ban says the Novex private brand range, extended in 2009, will be “eye catcher” of the stand, and amongst the most recent products added to the Novex portfolio is an all-season range bearing the 3-peak mountain symbol. The wholesaler notes that these tyres displaying this symbol officially qualify as winter tyres. The Novex all season line-up is available from sizes 155/70R13 up to 205/55R16. Van den Ban will also exhibit its new Novex T-Speed 2 and H-Speed 2 passenger tyre patterns, available in 135/80R13 to 215/65R15.
The Novex UHP range will also be exhibited; the asymmetric tread Super Speed A and the Super Speed 2. Sizes in these line-ups range from 195/65VR15 to 235/35ZR19. In an entirely different segment is the Van Speed 2, successor to the Van Speed range. This 8 ply tyre for trailers and caravans is available from 155R13C to 235/65R16C. Completing the Novex range is its 4×4 pattern, the SUV Speed, available in 205/70HR15 to 275/40WR20 and the Novex winter tyre, the Snow Speed. The Snow Speed is available from 145/80TR13 to 225/45VR17.
The company’s other private brand is Blackstone, a line-up manufactured in Europe by Continental. Van den Ban comments that its CD (Comfort and Durability) range contains three tread patterns and with these covers the complete passenger car tyre range. The three products are the CD 1000 for small and middle range cars, available in 135/80TR13 to 195/65TR15, the CD 2000, available in 185/70HR14 to 205/60HR15, and the top of the line CD 3000, a high performance tyre available in sizes 185/55HR14 to 235/40ZR18. The Blackstone brand also includes an assortment of light commercial vehicle tyres in its programme, namely the CD Van, available in sizes 185R14C to 205/65R16C. For cold season use is the Blackstone Alaska, a tyre Van den Ban says has already gained respect within the market by offering a very good grip on wet and snowy surfaces. Blackstone Alaska is marked as a winter tyre and bears the 3 peak mountain symbol and the M&S marking. Sizes range from 145/80QR13 to 205/55HR16.
To serve the budget segment Van den Ban recently added Hifly to its assortment. The Hifly brand includes passenger car, UHP and light commercial vehicle tyres. The Dutch wholesaler will also exhibit the budget brand BCT. This Chinese brand consists of numerous passenger car, UHP and light commercial vehicle patterns.
