Supertracker: Quality Equipment, Experienced Service and In-Depth Training
Conservative estimates from Supertracker place the daily number of wheel alignments carried out using its equipment at around 18,000. Therefore the company has no doubt that training in the correct and most efficient use of the machinery has never been so important for the industry.
In fact, it is reported that wheel alignment has been instrumental in helping many companies survive the economic downturn, so making sure staff do fully understand both the operational capabilities and fundamental dynamics of wheel alignment equipment is viewed as an absolute necessity. Working on the theory that training opens up awareness of what is possible and how to fully implement the opportunities, Supertracker offers a number of dedicated courses on wheel alignment with particular emphasis on providing a comprehensive in-depth understanding what wheel alignment is all about.
The company’s intensive training programme at its purpose-designed headquarter training room in Southampton is constantly assessed and upgraded when required in order to ensure that all courses are presented at the highest level of direction, intensity and availability possible. However, if preferred, Supertracker can arrange for sessions to be held at a company’s premises. All of Supertracker’s training services include a very comprehensive instruction programme on how to correctly operate wheel alignment equipment incorporating all technical and practical details such as product awareness and wheel alignment theory.
The training courses are available either for group sessions or on a one-to-one basis and are open to both existing Supertracker customers and any automotive company wishing to develop their understanding of this important subject. The type of training on offer is ideal for market sectors such as fast fit depots, accident repair centres, car manufacturers, insurance specialists, colleges and general garage services. Courses are held on the first Wednesday of every month.
“All sectors of the automotive industry can benefit from the opportunities of providing a service in wheel alignment which produces an additional income and profit,” comments Supertracker managing director Trevor Lovesy. “This theory is supported by the results of surveys showing that nine out of ten cars need some sort of adjustment.”
However there are many issues to consider before offering a wheel alignment service, such as choosing the right equipment which very much depends on your requirements. “To ensure you purchase the right wheel alignment equipment you need to consider exactly what type of service you intend to provide,” Lovesy adds. “For example, the largest income provider is in adjusting front and rear toe and you can combine additional facilities such as camber and castor adjustment. At the same time do you wish to provide a before and after print out, and will you want an aligner that is capable of measuring all vehicles in five years time?”
It is worth remembering, notes Supertracker, that to solve a wheel alignment problem on a vehicle all measurements should be known – so obviously there is much to be considered. You also need to establish what is fact and fiction concerning advice from equipment suppliers; as Trevor Lovesy points out: “Do not be misled by people quoting about percentages as fact – remember 100 per cent of nothing is still nothing!”
Supertracker was founded by Trevor Lovesy’s father, the late Keith Lovesy, in 1987, following almost two decades of experience within the wheel alignment market working for Hunter and a number of other leading brands. Over the years, many of the leading specialists in the alignment industry were at some stage taught wheel alignment by Keith Lovesy.
Through its provision of not only an accurate, fast alignment system but also training, after sales service and accessories, Supertracker is now recognised as one of the leading wheel alignment equipment specialists in the UK. All Supertracker machinery is produced at the company’s manufacturing complex in Southampton. The company’s product portfolio offers a comprehensive range of equipment to suit any budget or technical requirement, including four wheel computer aligners complete with customer and vehicle databases, Bluetooth technology and colour print-out, four wheel computerised laser aligners with colour print-out and four wheel laser aligners that measure camber and caster. Supertracker also specialises in computer truck aligners and laser truck aligners, and is one of just a few companies that can present such a flexible and complete range for the market and also have the ability to create bespoke systems on demand. Lovesy firmly believes that, with impressive products, extensively trained personnel and such important support services as training, Supertracker can consider itself to be a complete ‘one stop shop’ in progressive wheel alignment.
