Nokian Reports “Very Recommendable” Test Result
Yesterday we reported on Continental’s performance in several European tyre tests, but the German manufacturer was not alone in receiving kudos. Finland’s Nokian Tyres reports its “Nokian H” received a “very recommendable” rating from Germany’s ADAC automobile association during its latest summer tyre test. Nokian notes with pride that its tyre received the best result for dry road performance while also performing well on wet roads, a result that prompted the ADAC to call the Nokian H a “very balanced summer tyre”.
“The Nokian H combines driving safety, precision and environmental parameters in an excellent way,” said Teppo Huovila, vice president of Research & Development at Nokian Tyres. “This is the second time in row that Nokian tyres are honoured with ‘very recommendable’, as 2009 Nokian Z G2 got the ADAC rating in the UHP (ultra high performance) test. Furthermore, you protect the environment with the Nokian-branded tyres twice, because they are produced only with harmless low-aromatic oils.”
A total of 19 size 185/65 R 15H tyres competed in the ADAC test. ‘Very recommendable’ was the highest possible grade awarded.
