New Waste Hauler Tyre from Yokohama

Yokohama Tire will introduce its latest all-position waste and sanitation tyre, the MY627W, at the upcoming Mid-America Trucking Show, reports Tire Review. The show is slated for 25-27 March at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

The MY627W replaces the Yokohama Y773, with offers new features Yokohama said were “designed to deliver longer tread life, added durability and reduced operating costs for trucks used in the demanding sanitation industry.” The tyre will be available in June 2010 in 315/80R22.5 size load range L. The new tyre features a wide outside rib with extra-wide serpentine grooves to resist tearing and improve traction, sidewall indentations to dissipate heat during stop-and-go driving, an angled double wave outside groove for rib rigidity and reduced stone penetration, sidewall armor to protect against damage from curbing, anti-chip and anti-cut tread compound, and a wider tread face, Yokohama said.
