Just for the Ladies

The Swiss rim forging company Barracuda Racing Wheels makes the courageous observation that “it will probably remain a secret from men for all eternity as to why a woman will regularly drop everything and always pursue the latest shoe trends, regardless of the danger of thus ruining themselves financially.” And while many a male has pondered the seemingly unfathomable relationship between footwear and the fairer sex, few pretend to understand its importance. Barracuda, however, has boldly stepped forward and is attempting to harness the power of shoe desire for its own purposes.

Specifically, Barracuda Racing Wheels is “now giving trendy girls the opportunity to apply their ‘shoe tick’ to the ‘shoes’ of their car.” Make way, the company says, for the new, extravagant Girlz-Style line of rims. The new “for girls only” range will, says Barracuda, make women’s hearts beat faster: “From the cool, elegant design to colourful rim bases and the magical decoration of gleaming Swarovski stones, everything is possible,” the Swiss company enthuses.

The three Girlz-Style designs available for the insertion with Barracuda’s Voltec T6 and Velvet alloy wheel designs are named “Sweet rose”, “Cool blue” and “Snake grey”, consist of what the manufacturer refers to as an extravagant drop-centre together with a corresponding hub cover as well as colour-coordinated Swarovski stones in the rim bolts. Barracuda adds that the “brilliant art” Swarovski crystals also come into their own with the sporty Karizzma wheel, in particular in its matt black design. They are available in the colour tones “Crystal”, “Light Sapphire” and “Light Rose”. Other colour variations are available on request.
