Bridgestone Europe Rated a “Top Employer”
The CRF Institute, an independent research organisation specialised in labour conditions, has certified the Brussels based Bridgestone Europe headquarters a “top employer” in its Top Employers Belgium 2010 ranking. According to CRF, Bridgestone’s most outstanding employer attributes are its internal promotion policy and the training it provides.
As Bridgestone explains, the CRF Institute only issues its Top Employer certification to companies that comply with its strict criteria for HR policy and practice in five areas: pay and benefits, promotion opportunities, training and development, working conditions, and company culture. On the five-star ranking method applied, Bridgestone Europe scored the maximum five stars for “internal promotion opportunities” and “training and development”. The company scored four stars for “company culture” and “working conditions”, and three stars for “pay and benefits”.
“Even in times of crisis, Bridgestone Europe continues to invest in training and the development of its people. Focusing on a positive long term effect, we do not cut training budgets, and aim to overcome the economic crisis as an even stronger company” said Danny Carels, Human Resources manager, Bridgestone Europe HQ.
CRF operates in 12 countries on three continents. Using proprietary methodology combining independent press profiles with in-depth surveys, it has evaluated and benchmarked thousands of companies in the Top Employers programme. The results provide companies with insights into their own performance and give potential employees an important means of identifying the most attractive employers.
