Smithers Launches Sales Representation in India and Sri Lanka

Smithers Scientific Services Inc. has entered into an agreement with Akron Test Measurement Systems Integrators Pvt. Ltd. (ATMSI) to provide sales and marketing services through its office in Chennai. “We are expanding our sales efforts in India and Sri Lanka to meet the growing needs in the rubber and tyre markets.” said Jim Dowey, president of Smithers ScientificServices. “This move facilitates the company’s ability to provide customer support and sales services throughout the region.” he added.

Manoj Kumar Dash, Head-India Operations of Akron Test Measurement Systems Integrators, commented that “ATMSI’s presence in the region provides our clients with local access to Smithers’ services”.

Chennai-based Akron Test Measurement Systems Integrators specializes in custom-designed scientific test engineering systems in the automotive and tyre industry. These systems include tyre testing machinery, data acquisition/control systems, as well as test fixturing, load frames and actuators.
