Simex Adds SE65 to Industrial Range

Last year Continental made the decision to begin importing industrial and earthmover tyres manufactured by joint venture partner Simex into the UK and Ireland. The range available in this sector has now been expanded through the launch of the Simex SE65, a product designed for the construction industry.

The Simex SE65, reports Continental, is ideal for applications on earth-moving equipment like wheeled loaders and bulldozers, which are used under arduous conditions in quarries or mining, for example. Further benefits highlighted by Conti include a very deep tread pattern and an almost flat tyre contour to facilitate even ensures ground pressure distribution. The facing notches in the tread pattern are also said to guarantee optimum traction while the rubber compound used is reportedly particularly resistant to cuts and wear. The new tyre is available in 24 and 30 ply rating versions. The 30 ply version is approved for a maximum load of 21,200 kg at the inflation pressure of 4,25 bar, with a top speed of 10 km/h (6 mph) when fully laden.

While the Simex name may be new to UK industrial tyre users, Continental points out that the brand has a strong presence in the original equipment sector. Furthermore, states Conti, it is the number one imported tyre in the Chinese port and harbour business.
