Pelmar Group Acquires Trelleborg Tyre/Rubber Machines
The Pelmar Group has bought some rubber mixing and industrial tyre-making equipment from Trelleborg former Hartville, Ohio factory. The list of purchased machinery includes two K7 mixing lines and solid tyre production machinery. Accoridng to Pelmar, with this acquisition the company has positioned itself as the largest supplier of pre-owned rubber machinery in the tyre and technical rubber industry after finalizing the purchase of Continental Semperit plant in Traiskirchen earlier this year.
“We have the largest variety of machines for tyre production and now for solid tyre…The purchase of the Hartville plant is in continuation to the long standing relationship between Trelleborg and the Pelmar Group “, said Hagai Peled, the new managing director of Pelmar Group.
The purchase did not include all the machinery at the former Trelleborg site. Instead some was transferred as part of the company’s $20 million expansion of its plant in Sri Lanka.
