New Tyre Recycling Plant Capable of Processing 80% of Israel’s Needs
What Israeli media is referring to as the country’s largest tyre recycling facility opened on February 16 in the northern Samaria Shachak industrial zone. The Tyrek recycling plant, according to reports, is capable of recycling 30,000 tons of tyres per annum, a quantity equivalent to 80 per cent of the end of life tyres replaced with new tyres each year in Israel.
An opening ceremony was attended by national and local dignitaries, during which Tyrek director Amal Asad Mesika said that the factory would be “a source of pride for Samaria and all of Israel.”
