Blackcircles.com Advertises on Tesco Forecourts
In January this year, online tyre retailer continued its strategy of merging traditional and online marketing methods by delivering promotional material to 20 Tesco Petrol Stations around the UK. According to the e-tailer’s website, the company’ s communications and promotion manager covered over 1000 miles in five days, visiting selected Tesco stores. His objective was to introduce the company to Tesco Staff, while delivering A5 fliers, putting up posters and checking air pump advertising fascias which had been put up the previous week.
The advertising is described as a first step towards taking the Blackcircles.com message to a wider audience “letting motorists know that they don’t have to settle for the fast-fit high street chains and that they can get their tyres, locally for less, from Blackcircles.com – either over the internet or on the phone.”
Blackcircles.com founder and Managing Director, Michael Welch, had this to say about the advertising campaign: “I am confident that by letting people know that there is an alternative to the high street, our price point and service will encourage motorists back to the independent garage sector.”
