Pirelli enters ECPI Sustainability Index
Pirelli & C. SpA reports that in December the company’s credentials as a socially responsible firm for investors were confirmed by its addition to the ECPI Ethical Index EMU, the ethical finance index produced by Italian investment bank E. Capital Partners (ECPI), a leader in the rating of socially responsible investments.
The index, explains Pirelli, includes the 150 top capitalised companies in the EMU (Economic and Monetary Union) market who, on the grounds of sustainability, are considered eligible for investment according to ECPI Ethical Screening Methodology. This screening, Pirelli adds, is conducted in line with ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) parameters that cover the assessment of environmental risk, social impact and corporate governance structure.
Based upon the results of this screening, Pirelli was added to the ECPI Ethical Index EMU as well as to the investable universe of the ECPI Ethical Index Global and the ECPI Ethical Index Euro.
