Philip Hodges Announces Departure From Beissbarth

More than a dozen years after establishing Beissbarth UK, Philip Hodges has made public his decision to part ways with the company. “Building Beissbarth UK to its current market-leading position has been a total passion,” Hodges stated upon making his announcement. “And now is a good time to hand over the reigns and seek new challenges – I relish new routes!”

Hodges has been involved in the wheel alignment and garage equipment industry for three decades. During this time the former Beissbarth UK managing director has often been a driving force for improvements in standards, training and technical innovation. Along with winning numerous accolades for Beissbarth, Hodges was awarded the Institute of Transport’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2002.

Philip Hodges can trace his family roots in the tyre industry back to 1915, when his Grandfather founded the first tyre company in Nottingham, at a time when solid cushion tyres were the principal fitment on wheels for steam lorries and beaded edged tyres were the start of the pneumatic tyre revolution that we know today.
