Hofmann Introduces New Truck and Bus Wheel Balancer Design

Hofmann, a brand within Snap-on Equipment, has introduced a new design for the geodyna ‘off-the-vehicle’ 980L and 4800L truck, bus and coach wheel balancers. Both machines now feature a reinforced cabinet, which is, Hofmann claims, stronger yet 30 per cent lighter than before. Other enhancements include a redesigned wheel guard support that enables the guard to be handled more smoothly and conveniently.

Hofmann states that unlike ‘on-the-vehicle’ wheel balancers, Hofmann’s ‘off-the-vehicle’ balancers measure both the static and dynamic portions of unbalance with patented virtual plane measurement technology to ensure accurate balancing and extended wheel life. A geodata gauge arm ensures quick and precise balance weight placement with a patented weight clamp. As with all equipment in the Hofmann portfolio, both balancers are supplied with a 24-month parts and labour warranty as standard, along with delivery, installation and training.
