Hankook Updates European Web Presence
Hankook Tire reports its new European website is up and running in cyberspace. The multi-lingual site offers information on both company and product and Hankook notes that, thanks to the site’s flexible structure, news and facts tailored to the European market can be provided on a daily basis.
“The new website reflects our status as one of the leading tyre manufacturers in Europe”, says H. S. Ahn, vice president Marketing & Sales of Hankook Tire Europe with satisfaction. “It demonstrates once again the deep passion for convincing technology and customer-friendly service which distinguishes us as a company.”
One particular feature of the www.hankooktire-eu.com website Hankook wishes to emphasise is the interactive product catalogue, which enables the direct comparison of different tyre models. The new tool gives customers access to information on 66 models of summer, winter and all-season tyre – a total of some 1,400 sizes. The site also includes a dealer search function. At a click of the mouse, the newly developed Google Maps API interface displays the closest Hankook dealer. “Hankook Tire has thus placed itself at the head of the market in terms of customer-friendliness,” explains web designer Moritz Pommer, who is responsible for the site’s technical implementation.
Also new is the ‘press room’, where users can register to receive the latest Hankook information in any of eight languages. In addition to product illustrations, production photos and other material such as motorsports images, video clips can also be downloaded from the image database. Background information on the company history and commercial performance is also available, together with the company’s latest press releases and annual reports.
