Goodyear Settles With DJ AM’s Estate Over 2008 Plane Crash
The estate of Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein has settled a lawsuit with Goodyear Tire & Rubber and several other defendants over a 2008 plane crash that killed four and left the disc jockey with burns.
While Goldstein and former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker were the only survivors of the September 2008 crash that occurred during takeoff, Goldstein’s estate claims the crash and the injuries inflicted caused him to relapse into his drug addiction, which led to his overdose death eleven months later. Attorneys subsequently amended the lawsuit to include a wrongful death claim.
Terms of the settlement with a group of defendants that includes Goodyear, Learjet and Clay Lacy Aviation have not been revealed. Travis Barker settled his claim with the same group of defendants two months earlier.
