First Australian Rösler Retread Produced
On January 15 the first precure was manufactured at Rösler’s new retreading facility in Perth, Australia. The retread bearing the serial number RA 001001 was made on a 27.00R49 casing owned by Rio Tinto, and will go into service at one of their iron ore mines in Western Australia.
Rösler reports that the entire staff at the plant has worked night and day to finish the necessary modifications on the equipment in the facility and to complete the first retread on time. Together with Rio Tinto and other customers, Rösler marked the occasion with a barbeque as a way of thanking their staff for their hard work.
Modifications at the plant are now completely finished, Rösler adds, and the factory is in full production. The Perth facility is able to retread tyres up to 63-inches in diameter.
