Dunlop to Supply Britcar GT Championship

Dunlop signed a contract to supply the Britcar GT and Production Championships for a further four seasons at the Autosport International Show at Birmingham’s NEC today (14 January 2010. The Britcar GT Championship is said to be the biggest championship of its type in the UK. Bringing endurance racing to circuits all over the UK, Britcar has become the country’s fastest and most popular National GT Championship. 2010 will see the return of the Britcar 24 hour race, Britain’s ‘blue-riband’ endurance racing event at Silverstone on 2 – 3 October.

“Dunlop is the most successful tyre company in endurance racing, with 34 wins in the Le Mans 24 hour race. This relationship guarantees the same high standard of tyre performance and service for competitors in Britain’s top endurance racing championship. Britcar GT sees an eclectic mix of Porsche, Ferrari, Mosler, BMW, Marcos and Ginetta vehicles battle for overall and class wins. The championship is supported by the Production Championship for touring car style saloons and coupes.
