Chris Mullins Tyres Exceeds First Year Expectations, Investigates Second Gloucester Outlet
Gloucester tyre centre, Chris Mullins Tyres has reported a successful first year in business, exceeding its sales targets by more than 50 per cent according to the company. The centre, located on the city’s Bristol Road, began trading last January.
Specialising in selling and fitting car, van and motorcycle tyres to the general public and local businesses, a statement from the centre says it achieved 155 per cent of its first year’s trading target by selling more than 13,000 tyres and associated services such as wheel alignment. The statement added that it achieved a number of record trading days during the recent cold snap, as motorists replaced or upgraded their tyres to specialist snow products.
Commenting on a landmark first year, business owner Chris Mullins says, “Starting a new business in a competitive market in the middle of a recession was a tough decision, but I’ve been delighted with our achievements. I put our success down to a combination of hard work, keen pricing but above all real attention to great customer service.” Mullins and his business partner John Price have spent more than 25 years working together in tyre retailing with companies such as Ebley Tyres and Pro-Tyre. Both are familiar names in the local automotive industry.
“We’ve been delighted with the encouragement and support received from many of the customers and suppliers we have done business with over the years,” said Price. “It’s been a fantastic first year and now we aim to consolidate and build on that performance in 2010.” The company also states that a second tyre centre is “a distinct possibility” for the year ahead, with the partners currently investigating prospective new retail sites in the local area.
