RockTron to Update on Breakthrough at Tire Technology Expo
Eco-mineral recycling technology specialist RockTron says that, along with presenting details of its technological breakthrough at the Tire Technology Expo in Cologne, Germany on Tuesday 9th February 2010, company advanced products director Godfrey Short will announce “impressive results” from results of new research carried out for RockTron.
The Bristol based firm says it has been the source of much anticipation since its 800,000 tonne per annum eco-mineral plant went online last October. Tyre manufacturers, the company adds, are particularly interested in its ability to simultaneously cut costs and improve tyre performance. This proposition, together with its 100 per cent recycled content, makes RockTron’s new range of low-cost filler/extenders a potentially every attractive proposition to an industry in need of a new commercial edge.
Godfrey Short’s presentation at Tire Technology Expo will be given at session 5 on Tuesday 9th February, between 3.50pm and 4.10pm. The session is titled ‘Polymers & Fillers for Tyres’.
