Maxxis Rewards Scheme “Boosts PCR Sales Throughout 2009”, Winners Announced
Christmas arrived early for 13 lucky tyre retailers who will receive a luxury hamper and £400 in Argos gift vouchers after winning the final Maxxis Rewards quarterly prize draw of 2009. “The Maxxis Rewards programme helped promote the brand, not only boosting Maxxis PCR sales throughout the year, but also helping us to develop key relationships, as retailers contacted us to find out more about adding Maxxis to their range and some of those that already offered Maxxis were encouraged to recommend it to their customers as a quality, value for money tyre,” says Grouptyre sales director Paul Hollows.
Maxxis launched its Maxxis Rewards dealer support programme in conjunction with Grouptyre, exclusive distributor for Maxxis in the UK, and says that it has been “delighted with the trade’s positive response”. The winning dealers (and the Grouptyre members who supply them) are: ALS Tyres (Broadway Tyres); Autovaux Ltd (Cooper Bros); Carters Car Care Ltd (EG Wholesale); Cottingham MOT Centre Ltd (BAB Distribution); Denton Tyre Centre Ltd, Dumfries (NE Wholesale); Hantons Garage Ltd (Kenway Tyres); Haverfordwest Tyre & Exhaust Centre (King David Tyres); Ledbury Tyre & Battery (ETB); Lighthouse Auto Service (WJ Wood & Son); N&P Tyres, Ballymena (MT Wholesale Ken Price & Son Ltd); Car Tyrestore SMS Autocare Ltd (We Sell Tyres (Wholesale)); and finally Williams Motors (Oak Tyres).
All retailers who registered to take part in the Maxxis Rewards initiative were automatically entered into quarterly draws to win a range of top prizes and could also earn Argos vouchers and Maxxis branded promotional clothing and accessories. The number of prize draw entries per dealer was based on their purchase of Maxxis car, van and 4×4 tyres during each quarterly promotional period. Prizes included TVs, gift vouchers and an iPod/Wii-based entertainment package, while the leading buyers of Maxxis tyres enjoyed a one-week VIP trip to Pattaya and Bangkok in Thailand, including a visit to the Maxxis Rayong factory.
“The Maxxis Rewards programme really got people talking and has proved to be one of our most popular trade initiatives, helping us raise awareness and generate interest in the brand, as well as enabling us to acknowledge dealer loyalty and reiterate the benefits of being a Maxxis Centres of Excellence,” says Maxxis International UK’s managing director Derek McMartin. “We’re working on a new Maxxis Rewards scheme for 2010, which will be along similar lines but with a couple of extra special prizes, and will announce details soon.”
