Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship Gets 3 New Venues

With three new circuits on the calendar, 2010 promises to be an exciting year for Maxxis in its title-sponsorship of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship. Little Silver near Exeter is the first of the new venues and hosts the season opener at the end of February, while Leicestershire’s Mallory Park will stage a special double-header on March 21, when motocross action will be coupled with a road race. In August the series visits Farleigh Castle in Wiltshire, a circuit that has not been used for around ten years as a Maxxis Championship event.

The provisional 2010 calendar for the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship is:

Round 1: February 28 at Little Silver, Exeter
Round 2: March 21 at Mallory Park, Leicestershire
Round 3: May 2 at Duns, Scottish Borders
Round 4: June 13 at Lyng, Norfolk
Round 5: July 25 at Foxhill, Wiltshire
Round 6: August 15 at Farleigh Castle, Somerset
Round 7: August  29 at Landrake, Cornwall or Silverstone (TBC)
Round 8: October 3 at Hawkstone Park, Shropshire

The new circuits are sure to provide special challenges that will test the skills of the field, as well as help to open up the sport to a bigger audience, and all of the events will have a supporting class of either MXY2 (Youth) Ladies or Veterans. Spectators will get the chance to meet the Maxxis Babes, who will be attending each round of the Championship.  Information, the girls’ blogs and photos taken with fans will be posted on their new website.
