Goodyear Chief at White House Meeting
Goodyear chairman and CEO Bob Keegan will be among a group of executives invited to a White House meeting today to discuss the state of the US manufacturing sector, says Tire Review. The meeting will be hosted by Vice President Joe Biden.
“The Vice President will discuss this administration’s commitment to a strong manufacturing sector as a vital part of both the American economy and the rebuilding of the American middle class,” the White House said in a statement.
Also attending the meeting will be Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke, Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis, and Lawrence Summers, director of the White House National Economic Council.
Keegan will join 10 other manufacturing company executives in representing private industry.
