Siremull Hirachand’s Tyrestore Introduces Italian Tyre Fitting Equipment
For what it believes is the first time in India, Siremull Hirachand's Tyrestore of Greams Road, Chennai has announced the introduction of Italian robotics within their tyre fitting equipment. The Fox Robofit, Tyrestore continues, is recommended by Michelin and Bridgestone worldwide for the fitment of the new generation Tubeless, Runflat, Low/Ultra Low Profile, Hi Performance tyres and is customised to Tyrestore’s requirements, designed to suit Indian operating conditions. The retailer believes that the equipment makes the company “future ready”, since it can be used to fit tyres measuring up to 26” wheels/tyres. Exemplifying the company’s readiness for the future, says Tyrestore, is the fact that the current standard fitment limit for most BMW cars in India is only 20”, while Rolls Royce is 21”.
The tyre changer’s Robofit tool enables the user, with no extra physical effort, to mount and demount any type of tyre without the aid of a bead removing lever. It consists of two different heads, one for demounting and the other for mounting, both made from high-strength plastic to ensure against wheel and tyre damage. Two levers provide simple roller positioning and simultaneous or independent breaking of the upper and lower beads. The breaking of the beads is very fast, effective and safe, says Tyrestore. An 8-movement joystick helps control the operations of the robotic tool arm. The main advantage of the equipment, says Tyrestore, is the prevention of tyre, sidewall and wheel damage.
Siremull Hirachand’s Tyrestore claims that it is the only tyre dealer/retailer using this latest technology in the whole of India: “The introduction of Runflat/Low Profile tyre fitting equipment is an addition to our innovation that we want to offer car enthusiasts and owners alike and want to delight them with the latest technology and best quality service for their new generation tyres,” the company states in a press release.
