Goodyear India Launches 'Vajra Super' Agricultural Tyre
Goodyear has released a new agricultural tyre for the Indian market, specifically the country’s southern and western markets. Called the Vajra Super, the new tyre is said to address Indian farmers’ everyday tyre problems of wear and tear and punctures in the field.
The Vajra Super, reports Goodyear, is made using a compound that reduces the risks of cuts, thus delivering a longer working life and improved mileage without sacrificing any of the performance objectives the company holds as core to its tyre products.
“Goodyear has always believed in providing the best to its customers,” said Rajeev Anand, managing director of Goodyear India. “Based on our understanding of the Indian agricultural market, tractor manufacturers and end consumers, i.e. farmers, we have engineered the Vajra Super, which possesses all the qualities that makes it perform great on the field and meets their long term expectations. We are positive that the growing agricultural sector in India and Vajra Super will complement each other very well.”
J.S Gujral, vice president of the operation’s Farm and Commercial OTR business, added: “Vajra Super is an amalgamation of our extensive market research, engineering efforts, and best of technology. The special tread compound used in Vajra Super tyres can withstand punctures that are common on the hard soil of the South and West India region. We are optimistic that the new Vajra Super will become the most preferred choice of consumers and tractor manufacturers.”
