Delforge Takes Over as Goodyear Dunlop EMEA Communications Director
Goodyear Dunlop Tires Europe has reported the recent appointment of a new communications director for its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region. According to EMEA region president Arthur De Bok, Belgian Tom Delforge began in the role on September 1, replacing Chris Aked, who has retired.
“I am excited about Tom joining our team,” stated De Bok. “He has a strong track record of successful public relations campaigns in building brand strength, launching new products with key stakeholders and developing programs on a Pan European basis. Additionally, Tom has demonstrated the ability to work well across countries and developed excellent communication teams throughout his career. In the other fields of communication such as crisis management and internal communications, he also has a broad experience base.”
In his last role before joining Goodyear Dunlop, Delforge was head of public affairs and communications for Nordics, Central and Southeast Europe at Coca Cola. He has also previously worked as the spokesman for the Belgian Finance Minister and as a parliamentary advisor to a Belgian senator. Delforge’s tertiary studies were completed at Erasmus Hogeschool, Brussels, and Aristotle University, Thessaloniki. Delforge holds a master’s degree in translations.
The new communications director reports to De Bok and additionally to Roger Rydell, vice president, Global Business Communication.
