Steven Zhou Named New Cooper Chengshan General Manager
Chuck Taylor’s time in the role of general manager at Cooper Chengshan (Shandong) Tire Co. Ltd. (CCT) is drawing to a close, and Cooper Tire has named his successor. On December 11, new general manager Steven Zhou will take over responsibility for planning, directing and coordinating the manufacturing operations at CCT. Zhou will report directly to Asian Operations Vice President and General Manager Allen Tsaur.
“CCT is an integral part of our company’s strategic plan,” said Cooper Tire’s International Tire Division president Hal Miller. “As we continue to remould our global footprint to support the growing domestic and export markets, it is critical that the products we manufacture in Asia continue to conform to the highest quality standards and meet customer delivery requirements. We are confident in Steven´s ability to manage this facility and to provide the products we need.”
Zhou’s prior business experience includes position in China and the US, including most recently with bearing manufacturer Timken Co. where he served as general manager and board of directors member for the company’s Chinese manufacturing entity. His predecessor Taylor is to continue is career with Cooper as general manager, strategic planning and ERP readiness in Shanghai, China.
