Scorpion Launches Audi S3 2.0T Exhaust System
Scorpion has released its latest exhaust design, a cat-back system for the Audi S3 2.0t Quattro model introduced in 2007. While the S3 is already fast car in its original guise, Scorpion believes that the addition of its latest system will noticeably improve mid-range grunt and throttle response, plus give the car the sound that punters want.
Each system is hand-fabricated in the UK from aerospace grade T304 stainless steel. Using mandrel bending technology to ensure a perfectly consistent internal diameter, the 70mm system retains the front factory catalyst to ensure that warranty, emissions conformity and future MOT eligibility are left untouched, but eliminates the centre box before terminating in a free-flowing back box to increase performance.
The upshot of this work is, says Scorpion, a sporty yet unobtrusive exhaust note that pleases on full throttle whilst keeping volumes realistic for cruising and motorway driving. Power gains have yet to be scientifically measured, but Scorpion’s roads tests reveal “significant improvements in driveability throughout the rev range in all gears.”
Like all Scorpion exhaust products, the new S3 system comes with an unlimited mileage lifetime warranty for the original owner.
