Organisers Anticipate 10,000 Visitors at Shandong Province Show

A new show catering to those with an interest in Chinese produced tyres and automotive components will debut next year. Called the China (Guangrao) International Rubber Tire & Auto Accessory Exhibition, the government organised show will take place at the Gurangrao International Expo Center on 9 – 11 May 2010. The exhibition area is anticipated to be as much as 11,000 square metres and host around 300 exhibitors. The organiser predicts more than ten thousand buyers and visitors will attend over the exhibition’s three days.

In promoting the show, the organiser notes that Shandong Province has become China’s number one producer and exporter of tyres and automotive products, accounting for more than 50 per cent of the export market. Guangrao County within the province has taken measures to attract large corporations and promote development since 2001, the organiser adds. Today more than 40 tyre enterprises are located there, including Shandong Xishui Group, Shandong Yongtai Chemical Group, Shandong Jinyu Tire, Shandong Hengfeng Rubber And Plastic and Shengtai Group. According to the show’s organiser, tyre production capacity within the country reached 67.25 million pieces last year, 19.2 per cent of the national total.
