While the economic events of late-2008, carrying on to the present day saw the UK, along with most of the world, assume the default attitude of Dad’s Army’s Private Fraser (NB exclaiming, with wide, fatalistic eyes, “we’re all doomed!”), RH Claydon says that it has seen “healthy advances” in some segments, including agricultural products and tyres required for the Open Space Management Sector, sports complexes, golf courses, parks departments and local authority needs. The company has also announced that it is the sole UK supplier of Matador light and heavy truck tyres.

“Results within our industry were variable,” says Dick Anderson. “The replacement Passenger market endured the worst of our recession. Heavy Truck, Plant and Industrial sectors have certainly experienced downturns with the reduced movement of goods and the dramatic slowdown in building and construction. However in most situations of negativity there are positives with opportunities arising.”

Talking about the agricultural segment, Anderson says that “we at RH Claydon have products in our portfolio to meet the needs of both service provider and end-user alike. UK Supplier of Matador truck, Aurora brand PCR

R H Claydon brands itself proud to announce its appointment as sole UK supplier of Matador light and heavy truck tyres. Previously five wholesalers distributed the products though out the UK, so RHC says it is “delighted in the confidence expressed in us by Matador in awarding this contract to supply what is a superb truck range, covering all operational aspects of today’s truck industry.                                                                                                 

The company is also pleased to announce that Hankook Tyres UK has granted the company sole trader rights to market the Aurora brand’s passenger, 4X4 and van products to the UK market. Having arrived in the UK in the mid-80s the brand has been marketed through franchised dealers and from 2001 to 2007, the brand was sold by two major wholesalers in the UK. Since that date the brand has not been available from any UK source. This will now change as RHC are inviting retailers to participate in the re-launch of the brand Aurora. All Aurora sizes, patterns & profiles are both E- and S-marked to comply with current and recent EU Directives. RHC states that it will offer a lifetime guarantee on Aurora tyres, valid for the life of the tyre down to 2mm tread depth.
