Vellco Appoints Former Michelin Man
Tyre recycler, Vellco has announced the appointment of Dave Martin, whose expertise will reportedly aid the organisation of – and bring expertise borne out of long-term employment by the Michelin Group – the company’s Truck & Passenger Car Casing business. Martin had a career spanning thirty years with Michelin, in which he held a variety of positions, most recently working on quality guarantee standards for Remix and Encore products. This experience in process application, training and development – along with his vast technical knowledge – brings an invaluable asset to Vellco, states the recycler. This experience will be utilised as the company maintains its current business and attempts to continue its upward trajectory in the years ahead.
Commenting on his appointment with Vellco, Martin said, “I am absolutely delighted to have been asked to join the Vellco Group. The Directors have given me an opportunity to help them achieve their goals, and I am looking forward to bringing my experience and skills on board to what I see and know as THE tyre recycling company in the UK. Vellco Tyre Control is a company that is forward thinking, responsible and innovative, and which is looking to continue the excellent progress made in recent years. There was no doubt in my mind when asked, that I wanted to be a part of the Vellco Team.”
Since the acquisition of Continental’s Recycling Division REG UK in 2004, Vellco says that it has been structuring the company to meet the needs and requirements of its varied customer base. Recent changes have included major logistical decisions and joint venture agreements with key reprocessors in the UK.
