Snap-on Tools Celebrates 5,000 Sales
In order to celebrate the 5,000th sale of its Solus Pro hand-held diagnostic tool, Snap-on Tools, the supplier of tools, tool storage and workshop equipment for the UK automotive aftermarket, has announced the introduction of celebratory carbon fibre-look edition. Launched in May 2008, the Solus Pro is the second generation of the mid-range model of Snap-on's 'family' of hand-held diagnostic tools and it was specifically designed to provide the technician with an even faster performance and more diagnostic data.
The attractive design of the new Carbon Edition Solus Pro is intended to emulate the look of carbon fibre and is available at exactly the same price as the original model. It offers full application coverage of 21 of the most popular vehicle manufacturers. Continued and committed software development ensures that Snap-on customers’ diagnostic tools remain consistently powerful and productive in the workplace. The Carbon Edition SOLUS PRO therefore includes Snap-on’s latest 9.4 software download. Future software updates can then be delivered in a matter of minutes direct from the Snap-on franchisee vans via ScanBay, the unique and simple delivery method introduced four years ago.
“Diagnostics is the fastest-moving and most complex area of the automotive aftermarket and we want to ensure that all our customers not only have access to the world’s most sophisticated hand-held diagnostic equipment, but also to realise how quick and easy they are to use,” says Terry Barcham, Snap-on Tools European Managing Director. “The very fact that we have sold 5,000 of our Solus Pro diagnostic tools in 18 months is further proof of our ability to predict market trends. This new Carbon Edition has been designed to emulate the look of carbon fibre and to give the tool an even more aesthetically pleasing design which we are certain will create even more customer demand.”
