New GTRadial and Primewell Tyres
As part of GITI Tire’s ongoing programme of product developments (see June Tyres & Accessories for further details), the company has added four patterns to its Primewell and GTRadial branded truck ranges. Three of the four new patterns (PTL711, PDM331 and PAM532) are being added to the Primewell range.
PTL711 is a long haul trailer pattern designed to deliver “maximum cost efficiency down to the last kilometre.” According to the company literature, this tyre has been designed to include improved resistance to heat build up, high mileage performance, reduced rolling resistance and improved resistance to damage and impacts. PTL711 will be initially available in 235/75R17.5 and 285/70R19.5 size, but four more sizes (including 385/55 and 385/65 variants) are reportedly in development.
PDM331 is a mixed server drive axle tyre, which purported offers high mileage, excellent traction and self-cleaning properties. This is initially available in 315/80R22.5, with a 13R22.5 fitment in development.
The PAM532 mixed service tyre is a wide base all position product, designe for on/off highway applications. This is available in 385/65R22.5.
GTRadial’s new release, by complete contrast is designed for the more sedate applications of a coach fitment. As such GAL811 is said to feature high mileage characteristics, resistance to irregular wear and excellent handling and braking in both dry and wet conditions. The GAL811 will be available in 295/80R22.5.
