ShengdaTech Relocates to Shanghai Headquarters
China based nano precipitated calcium carbonate (NPCC) manufacturer ShengdaTech has announced plans to relocate its global headquarters from Shandong Province to Shanghai. Company president and CEO Xiangzhi Chen, CFO Andrew Chen, COO Anhui Guo and other executives are to be based at the new office, and Shanghai also serves as the chosen site for ShengdaTech's research and development centre. The company’s NPCC manufacturing operation will continue in Tai'an City and will utilise the old ShengdaTech head office at this location for various administrative functions.
“Shanghai is truly a global city and is considered the hub of Chinese business. It is home to China’s largest stock market and is the regional base of many multinational corporations. Relocating our world headquarters to Shanghai will further enhance our corporate image, improve communication and coordination with current and potential customers, and allow us to attract and retain talented employees” said Mr. Xiangzhi Chen. “Building on our rapid growth of the past few years, our new location advances ShengdaTech’s position as a true global company and provides us with opportunities to expand our market reach, both domestically and internationally.”
ShengdaTech has previously reported it is the largest supplier of NPCC to China’s tyre industry, and claims its product improves overall tyre performance by approximately 10 to 20 per cent, namely through increased traction wave resistance, tear resistance, brake elongation, tensile strength and aging resistance. The company has also stated that the use of NPCC reduces overall tyre manufacturing costs by about three per cent.
