Pan Autos of First Stop Golf Day Raises 1,900 for Jumbulance
Pan Autos, part of the First Stop network of tyre dealerships, has raised over £1,900 for a local charity at its annual charity golf day.
The money raised by the event – the company’s 14th – will go to Jumbulance, a charity that provides a specially-equipped giant ambulance which is used by the charity to take sick and disabled people on accompanied holidays around Britain and Europe. The charity hopes to purchase a second vehicle in the near future and Pan Autos’ donation will go towards this goal.
Over 30 clients and friends of the business took part in the tournament at Aldwickbury Park Golf Club. The event saw teams and individuals playing the 18-hole course in order to be crowned top male, female or team on the day. The tournament was followed by a special gala-dinner with a prize giving ceremony and an auction. As part of the First Stop network, which is supported by Bridgestone, Pan Autos successfully auctioned for £260 a pair of tickets for an exclusive tour of the Red Bull F1 factory.
John Tarbox, Managing Director at Pan Autos, who played a round on the day comments, “It is great that 14 years on the event is still so successful. This is the second year we have raised money for Jumbulance as it is such a worthwhile cause. We have close links to the charity and its treasurer, Ron Salvesen, is a close friend of the business so we know all the money was greatly received. The golf day is also a great way to relax with our valued clients and thank them for their continued support – we look forward to seeing everyone again next year!”
Chris Hawkins, business development manager for First Stop added, “We are always pleased to be able to support dealers in the First Stop network with events such as this. It was great to see the factory tour tickets go down so well and we are sure the lucky winner will have a fantastic time behind-the-scenes at Red Bull as they ride high in the F1 championship.”
