Tire Monitor System Gains Interest in OTR Tyre Market

Tire Monitor System, a OTR TPMS system developed by A M Bromley Limited, is now being distributed to the OTR/earthmover market in the UK via Earthmover Tyres (Wakefield) Limited. The device features a new Operator Interface Unit which is said to enhance performance to the retrofit OTR/earthmover tyre market by displaying tyre pressures and sound alarms for up to six wheels. The unit also has a real time log feature so data can be downloaded and analysed at a later date.

Tire Monitor System has been sold direct to OTR OEMs in the North America and Australia markets since 2005. The product entered the UK market with Earthmover Tyres (Wakefield Ltd) in June 2008 with trials at Ferrybridge Power Station coal supply plant. Darran Stone, sales executive for Earthmover Tyres (Wakefield Ltd) reported significant interest in the system and is presenting it to their customer base where they supply tyre maintenance and supply: “Fitting the internal mounted sensors is easy using standard tyre patching techniques and a vehicle power supply is all that is needed to connect the system. Tire Monitor System offers our customers a reliable and robust tyre pressure system designed and proven for the rigours of OTR tyres. The market has been waiting for a product like this, TMS as we know it, is proven technology tested and used by the likes of Bombardier Transportation.”
