Snap-on Gains WDK Training Accreditation
Snap-on Equipment equipment recently became the first garage equipment manufacturer to gain independent, third-party authorisation to provide training courses for mounting and demounting run-flat and UHP tyres at its European Competence Centre in Pfungstadt, Germany. WDK, the Association of the German Rubber Industry, provided the authorisation, which included certification of turntable and roller-type tyre changers.
Snap-on Equipment, Europe’s leading manufacturer of garage equipment, offers a comprehensive range including tyre changers and wheel balancers. Products under the Hofmann and John bean brands include entry-level machines that are ideal for low-volume workshops, through to top-of-the-range equipment for high-volume fast fit operations.
All machines benefit from innovative, patented technology, such as double acting bead breaker cylinders on tyre changers and Virtual Plane Measurement for highly accurate results on all wheel balancers, regardless of ambient conditions. Providing customers with the right equipment to handle the latest developments in tyre technology is a key driver behind Snap-on Equipment’s focus on innovation, as exemplified by the redesigned Hofmann monty 3300 racing tyre changer to handle run-flat and ultra high profile (UHP) tyres.
Chris Behan, General Manager, Snap-on Equipment commented: “Customers need to have confidence in their equipment supplier at any time and even more so in the current economic downturn. We offer a full range of garage equipment through our Hofmann and John Bean brands, along with the full product lifecycle support you would expect from a member of the global Snap-on family.”
