Sava Launches Three Upgraded Truck Tyre Lines
Sava has announced the launch of three upgraded tyre ranges designed to offer enhanced performance and value for long and regional haul trucks, trailers and coaches. The Slovenia based Goodyear Dunlop subsidiary reports that its Avant A3plus steer tyre and Orjak O3plus drive tyre have benefited from new construction and tread compounds, giving the tyres significantly improved mileage, durability and stability compared with their predecessors. The new carcass construction is shared in the Cargo C3plus trailer tyre and features a revised belt package lay-up that delivers reduced heat build up and improved durability.
Better stability, says Sava, is the result of a significantly improved carcass with asymmetric bead bundles. These improve durability and handling by five per cent. The new tread compound is reported to possess high tear resistance qualities that enable 15 per cent better mileage than the previous generation tyres.
The Sava Avant A3plus is a long and regional haul steer tyre for trucks and an all position tyre for coaches. The tread pattern features a five-rib design for high mileage and even wear. In addition, the block-type design in the tread’s centre is intended to provide good wet braking performance. Available in sizes 315/80R22.5, 295/80R22.5 and 315/70R22.5, these tyres will replace the 22.5-inch Avant A3 range.
The Sava Orjak O3plus range covers drive applications for long and regional haul trucks and coaches. The new tread is a five-block row design that the manufacturer states provides excellent traction on wet roads. High mileage and even wear are reported benefits from the wide tread with its semi-closed shoulders. Also available in sizes 315/80R22.5, 295/80R22.5 and 315/70R22.5, these tyres will replace the 22.5-inch Orjak O3 range.
The Sava Cargo C3plus is for trailers operating in both long and regional haul operations. With a wide six-rib tread pattern with five zigzag grooves, the tyre is said to have excellent mileage potential and good wet braking. This tyre will be produced in size 385/65R22.5 and will replace the Cargo C3. All of these new tyres are regroovable and retreadable, the manufacturer adds.
