VMI Yantai Opens Third Factory
The opening of a third 11,000 square metre facility belonging to the Shandong Province based company is a sign that VMI’s business in China is continuing to increase, states VMI. When the Chinese subsidiary was initially established 13 years ago it operated out of a rented premises. The first VMI Yantai owned plant, a 6,000 square metre facility, was built in 2002, and the second, 10,600 square metre factory in 2007. “So early as 1996, VMI Group of Holland established VMI Yantai, Ltd. by its wise forecast, as the pioneer of foreign companies producing tyre machinery, especially tire building machinery in China,” said Cai Weimin during his speech at the opening ceremony.
“Being leading enterprise in the world’s tyre industry, VMI won the customers’ trust by its leading technology, first class R&D and excellent service and made a good contribution to China’s tyre industry.” VMI Yantai supplies a range of machinery for rubber compound handling, the manufacture of tyre components, tyre assembly, tyre curing and tyre testing. This equipment is used for the production of radial passenger car, light truck, all steel radial truck, bus and off-the-road tyres. The company supplies and serves both domestic and export customers.
