Emphasis on Quality at Samson Machinery
Most people haven’t heard of Sam Kiam, a company established in Taiwan some thirty-four years ago – but mention the name Samson Machinery, and it’s a different story entirely. Samson Machinery, founded by current company president Mr. Lin Kun Te in 1975, has been known by its current name since 1986, five years after it manufactured its first tyre building machine.
Today Samson Machinery supplies a full range of tyre building machinery suitable for both large and small tyre manufacturers in a range of market segments. The company’s main products include tyre building machines, band building machines, ply servicers, building drums & related accessories, tyre trimming machinery, green tyre splicing machines, curing presses, and horizontal ply auto cutting & splicing machines.
The latest products released by Samson include its radial aircraft tyre building machine and unistage radial tyre building machine. These two products join a wide range of machinery that is suited to the production of most tyres, including bicycle, scooter, motorcycle, passenger car radial, light truck radial, SUV, truck & bus, industrial and OTR tyres. Customers can order machinery for bias and radial, semi-steel or all-steel, small and large sizes.
Samson notes its focus upon quality; company’s new factory, completed in September 2006, has been awarded ISO 9001, EQA and CE certification. The company also states that all equipment produced since 2003 has been designed by 3D design software, and for the last five years Samson has utilised a dynamic simulation system that enables it to simulate the operation of a proposed new machine even before construction of a prototype, allowing for the design to be optimised and any deficiencies to be easily eliminated. As a result of this attention to quality Samson is confident that, under normal operating conditions, its equipment can fulfill a service life of more than 20 years.
