Bridgestone Launches Updated, Fresher Global Website
On May 1 Bridgestone Corporation announced the launch of its newly updated and refreshed corporate global bridgestone.com website. The aim of the new design, Bridgestone says, is to improve the site’s ease-of-use and to explain the company’s activities in a more easy-to-understand manner.
Bridgestone’s previous global website was a portal site to the websites of the main group companies. However, through its new more user-friendly redesign, Bridgestone’s says its goal is to disseminate information about the Bridgestone Group’s global activities from a centralised website to its many audiences throughout the world.
The upgraded website, notes Bridgestone, provides enhanced company information, particularly on products and on the company’ continuing commitment to the environment and safety. In terms of functunality, Bridgestone says it has considered the needs of its many audiences throughout the world, and thus has catered to both broadband and narrowband use. Further, it has added RSS functionality to the website to support the timely dissemination of news releases.
Going forward, Bridgestone states it will continue to enhance its website content so that visitors can better and more easily understand the company’s activities.
