Yokohama to Exhibit at Auto Shanghai 2009

Yokohama Rubber has confirmed its presence at the Auto Shanghai 2009 exhibition, which runs from Monday April 20 to Tuesday April 28. The company will use the Chinese show as a venue for introducing its environmentally friendly and high performance models. In addition, to market its products in China, this year Yokohama Rubber has appointed the popular Chinese actor Louis Koo as the company’s ‘face’ in this market.

To emphasise the environmental strengths of its tyres at the show Yokohama will repeat the rolling resistance ‘experiment’ that proved popular at the Tokyo Motor Show. The principles behind improved rolling resistance and how it contributes to fuel economy will also be explained. An environmental car from well-known racing car designer Mr. Takuya Yura – the Yura Style Aero Prius – will also be exhibited.

High performance cravings will be sated with a new street sport tyre, the Advan Neova AD08, which is scheduled for a June launch. This new product will be shown together with the Advan Sport and Advan S.T. SUV tyre. The company will also display the Advan tyres it uses as FIA World Touring Car Championship tyre supplier and the Geolander range used in rally racing.
