Kraiburg Trains Nortenha Sales Staff

Despite the weakness of the European truck tyre market, there are still opportunities for retreaders, says Kraiburg Austria. To take advantage of these, Portuguese retreader Recauchutagem Nortenha organised a two-day training session, with Kraiburg Austria, for its entire sales staff.

In what was a practical-orientated workshop, Kraiburg’s Product Manager Michael Schwämmlein concentrated on four major themes; tyre technique, vehicle configurations, Kraiburg’s tread segmentation with K_base, K_tech and K_plus, as well as professional tread selection depending on vehicle and application.

During the workshop the 18 participants had to choose the best design solution, based on customer information and expectations and it was voted a total success. Said Michael Schwämmlein: “All participants have been actively using the two days to upgrade and refresh their knowledge, without fear of asking and answering questions.”

For Nortenha, managing director José Gomes described the training as “very professional”. He added: “It is essential to have a specialist like Kraiburg as a partner, knowing not only the theoretical details, but the real world as well. Now we have all the tooling at hand to train our staff in Nortenha’s 10 outlets.”
