Reports: Tyre Majors Cancel Rubber Contracts

In a sign of the pressure on manufacturers that are supplying the automotive industry, news agency Reuters is reporting that at least three leading tyre makers have cancelled long-term Indonesian rubber contracts. Dealers told Reuters that SMPT, the rubber purchasing arm of Michelin, Yokohama Rubber and Continental have all abandoned provisional agreements with rubber suppliers.
