Maxxis, Grouptyre Unveil New Dealer Support Programme
An all-expenses-paid trip to Thailand – including a trip to a tyre making plant – is one of the prizes up for grabs for Maxxis’ Grouptyre dealers in the UK as the manufacturer and its exclusive distributor unveil their new incentive programme called Maxxis Rewards. The top ten retailers – based on the volume of Maxxis car, van and 4×4 tyres they purchase during the promotional period of 1 January to 30 September, 2009 – will win a seven-day holiday in Thailand. Flat screen TVs, DVD recorders and digital cameras are among the prizes up for grabs in a series of quarterly draws, while dealers can also pick up Argos vouchers and Maxxis branded merchandise.
“Through the Maxxis Rewards programme we want to help retailers gain a better understanding of Maxxis and our aims both here in the UK and the 200 countries in which the brand is sold,” says Maxxis International UK managing director Derek McMartin. “Since retailers will be able to see for themselves the state of the art production facilities involved in manufacturing a million tyres and tubes a day and the scale of our operation, the trip to our Thailand factory will give them a real insight into the brand and their role in its future development.”
The Thailand trip is scheduled for November 2009 and will be hosted by representatives of Maxxis and Grouptyre. It includes all flights, transfers, four-star hotel accommodation and a day trip to a Maxxis factory.
Grouptyre’s 13 members will each hold quarterly prize draws for their registered Maxxis dealers. This aspect of the Maxxis Rewards programme runs until 31 December, 2009, and since every Maxxis car, van and 4×4 tyre purchased counts towards entries in the quarterly prize draws, the more retailers buy, the greater their chance of winning. The first prize draw is linked to tyre sales for the period 1 January to 31 March inclusive and takes place on 6 April.
As a further incentive, every Maxxis V, W, Y and Z rated tyre purchased between 1 January and 31 July inclusive will earn registered Maxxis retailers points which will then be converted into Argos vouchers. The value of the vouchers will be calculated by each dealer’s local Grouptyre member and will be awarded on a quarterly basis. Registered retailers can also earn Maxxis branded merchandise, including promotional clothing and accessories.
“The Maxxis Rewards programme is open to all UK-based official Maxxis car tyre stockists who have registered to participate with their local Grouptyre member and offers them the opportunity to earn a variety of rewards whilst also benefiting from our ‘one stop’ service and maximising their profit opportunities,” says Grouptyre’s sales director Paul Hollows.
“We believe the Maxxis Rewards programme will help us build key relationships, especially with independent retailers, and promote Maxxis as the affordable alternative to the premium brands,” concludes Mr McMartin.
