Goodyear Plant Cuts Operating Schedule
The Goodyear plant in Union City, Tennessee is reducing its operating schedule from a seven-day continuous operation to five days. The impact of the operation change on the plant’s workforce has yet to be determined, according to Jimmy Cagle, manager of communications at the plant. The 40-year-old plant, which employs 2,700, is already facing a loss of about 60 jobs this year. (Tire Review/Akron)
